Socrates

-Most important Greek philosopher which work based mostly on asking questions and valuing human affairs highly.
-Socrates did not write about his thoughts, but his disciple would later on compose dialogues that represented the thoughts of Socrates.
-Suggested that humans could live honest lives and that honor was the most important thing, much more important than any superficial attribute.
-Socrates was accused for corrupting Athenian youth and encouraging immortality, he was taken to jury and sentenced to death.
-Took poison and died surrounded by his friends.

Plato

-Published Socrates' thoughts as a series of dialogues where his mentor was the principal speaker, at first it was Socrates thoughts, but time passed and Plato started developing his own thoughts.
-Theory of Forms or Ideas, the world that we live in is not the only one.
-He held that the best state was one where either philosophers ruled as kings or kings were philosophers themselves.
Religion
The Greek religion is a polytheist religion, which means that they don't adore one but multiple gods; Indoeuropean ancestors believed that the forces of the nature, or the natural elements had some kind of supernatural powers, and throughout the years, they believed that this powers were gods.
They believed that everything started with the void of chaos from which emerged the Earth, from which emerged the sky, and between the earth and the sky, they created the day, the night and other natural phenomena.
Some cults admitted women only, this way they could would be able to play important roles in society.
